Innovator Visa

The Innovator Visa is initially valid for three years and allows the visa holder to bring their family (spouses/partners and children under 18) to the UK. It can be extended for an additional three years. In some cases, after three years of lawful residency in the UK, Innovator Visa holders may be eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain status. UK Self-Sponsorship Visa

While there isn’t a formal visa called the self-sponsorship visa, this innovative approach might suit certain individuals. It’s particularly well-suited for experienced entrepreneurs who have a thriving business in their home country and have explored the possibility of replicating it in the UK. However, it’s important for the individual to be physically present in the UK to ensure the success of the business operations. The initial steps involve establishing a UK-based company and selecting the necessary personnel. Depending on the nature of the business, the company must complete all mandatory registrations and ensure it takes essential measures to establish a legal presence in the UK. These measures include creating business plans, websites, operational models, and opening a business bank account in the UK. To manage migrant workers and ensure the company complies with UK laws, it should also develop an HR package. Subsequently, the company can apply for a sponsor license. If approved, it can request a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to sponsor not only the owner but also other key individuals who need to be in the UK for successful business activities.
